Northwest region goes international

RegIS-Online – the central business information system for the northwest region of Germany – will now be even better positioned to support internationalisation of small and medium-sized enterprises as well as the European oriented focus of the region, e.g. through the metropolitan area Bremen-Oldenburg. The new version provides national and international users with detailed and high-quality information about the business and economical potential of the northwest region.

The new design and the English version could have been realised thanks to the regional working group Bremen-Niedersachsen (RAG), a consortium of 14 municipalities and self-governing cities in the northwest region. Furthermore RegIS-Online offers free information about all municipalities and locations in the region. It shows an overview of the services of all regional business development institutions and provides profiles of about 7000 enterprises, including their competencies, know-how and used technologies, as well as profiles of 700 industrial sites and real estate. Registration with the company database in RegIS-Online is for free; many companies had been realised new cooperations and orders because of the database. Statistics show that a lot of registered companies have gained new orders and cooperation partners from it. Hence RegIS-Online is one of the most successful regional business portals in Germany and attracts more than 700 users each day.
