Usage of RegIS-Online in figures
Every month RegIS-Online publishes updated statistics about the access to our business web portal. We distinguish between page requests 1 and visits 2. Automated visits (e.g. from search robots) are being deducted from number of visits.

Page requests are the number of individual web pages retrieved by users. Page requests are counted for each web page accessed, but not for any embedded graphics or other files. This approach corresponds to the user's perception of a web page as a whole and makes different web statistics comparable with each other.

Visits represent a set of continuous page requests of a single user ("visitor"). A visitor cannot be identified solely on the basis of the Internet address ("IP"), especially when using dial-up connections (modem, DSL, …). Each time a user connects to the Internet a different IP is assigned to him. After the user disconnects, this IP may be reassigned to another user immediately. Thus several requests originating from a single IP will only be counted as one visit if each of them occurs within a specific period of time (e.g. 15 minutes).
